THE GEORGIA TTD MAXIMUM COMPENSATION RATE INCREASED IN 2019: The first Increase in Three Years

As of July 1, 2019, the maximum temporary total disability (TTD) compensation rate in Georgia is $675.00 per week. The $675.00 per week was an increase of $100 to the former maximum compensation rate of $575.00. The maximum TTD compensation rate between 07/01/2016 through 06/30/2019 was $575.00 per week. This $100 increase to the TTD compensation rate is the first increase in the TTD compensation rate in Georgia since 2016. Now, the maximum TTD compensation per week that a totally disabled injured worker can recover in one year is $35,100. Unfortunately this rate is not retroactively applied to accidents which happened before 07/01/2019. The maximum compensation rates in Georgia depend on the date of accident and the TTD rate which was in effect on that date of accident.
The TTD maximum compensation rates for this year and past years are as follows:
07/01/2019: $675
07/01/2016: $575
